I think that is broader to VPL, because in text mode we also need to perform 
node tree modification so that manipulation would be in a Document scope. 
IMHO, VPLs job is to provide a visual interface to manipulate the rendered 
page.

The goal here would be to synch only what is modified. We should find a smart 
way to do this...
