Hi I'm also interested if you find any solution as I have the same issue
also with Ubuntu 8.04 (not kubuntu).
this happens only when I use the option to replace accented chars with
html then, when using a keyboard forming accented chars with two
keystrokes, it forms an entity for each keystroke. If I don't use that
option it forms ok the characters, but I'd prefer having, instead of á
á
also, I have many pages coded with iso-8859-1 that I'd like to convert
to utf8, or, better to show indistinctely in any web browser... So, it'd
be best to convert each special char to htmlentity... sometimes.,
when opening it in quanta with the option to repl;ace accented chars
while typing... Great! the problem is I don know how to reproduce it! I
change a little betwen vpl view, source view, source with preview, and
then I see in the source view that all spectial chars have been
correctly translated to &...;
does anybody know how to do this without the luck factor?
any help will be appreciated.
