Jerry,
I also had a problem making spell check available in Quanta, although it was \
available in other apps. I was getting the same message as you about the path. This \
is how I resolved it. I use Mepis and both aspell and ispell were installed by \
default. Setting the Dictionary to English American in the Control Center under \
KDE Components / Spell Checker was all I had to do.
