In my case I am only interested in a KDE based GUI PHP
debugger, all the rest of the system is kind of redundant,
so I'd prefer to directly contribute to the PHP debugger
aspect.

Excellent, thanks for the links. This is confusing, I would
have thought the "server" was the remote end and the "client"
was in Quanta!

debug a PHP script your webserver needs to connect to
the debug-server."
