Thanks to all who've helped me!  My knowledge of locating files is rather, 
shall we say, rudimentary.

When I compiled quanta from source "make" from the top-level kdewebdev folder, 
I assumed the result would appear there.  It was in the quanta/src/ 
directory.  Ah!  Hindsight is beautiful...in hindsight.
