You have to install it and it will be in the prefix you specified on 
configure line. I you did not specify any prefix there, I think it will 
be in /usr/local, but I highly recommend to install in your KDE 
directory or otherwise follow the instruction from the 
kdewebdev/quanta/README file regarding having two installed Quanta 
versions.
