The solution is to use the preview prefix. I use the following setup
here:
- my project is in $HOME/development/htmlsite
- the apache default directory is in /srv/www/htdocs (Suse system)
- create a symbolic link from $HOME/development/htmlsite
to /srv/www/htdocs/htmlsite
- in the project option set the preview prefix to
http://localhost/htmlsite and check the box to allow usage of preview
prefix
From now on whenever you preview a document, it will preview through
your apache server, thus will render the PHP if apache is configured
correctly.
If it works for you, you might make the symlink to $HOME/public_html and
use http://localhost/~username/htmlsite for preview prefix.
