Position:         Librarian IV (Branch Manager)
Salary:                   $54,104 Annually
Location:              Glades Road Branch Library
                                20701 95th Avenue South, Boca Raton

Plans, supervises and coordinates the work of a large library branch.  Inte=
rprets and explains library policies and procedures to the public and staff=
; resolves patron complaints/problems; prepares branch budget recommendatio=
ns; monitors expenditures; approves/creates programming for children and ad=
ults.  Trains and directs professional/other Library System personnel; writ=
es performance evaluations; issues counseling forms/disciplinary actions; h=
andles employee complaints/grievances; recommends the hiring, promotion and=
 terminations of staff; performs related work as required.

Qualifications:  Master's Degree in Library Science accredited by the Ameri=
can Library Association; minimum of three (3) years of professional library=
 experience that includes two (2) years of supervisory or administrative wo=
rk. Preference given for experience Conducting oral presentations/speaking =
in public; managing a library's major department/branch; training/supervisi=
ng personnel for three (3) or more years; using automated circulation syste=
ms (must specify on application).
