Summary:                    reloaction error in prelude manager when trying to start it with mysql 4.0.1
Description: 
I am trying to get prelude working with MySQl 4.0.10, (redhat 7.3)
everything compiles fine, and installs fine.
but when I try to use the Mysql database it comes with this error :
/usr/local/bin/prelude-manager : relocation
error:/usr/local/lib/prelude-manager/db/mysql.so : undefined symbol
mysql_connect

The attachment is a suggestion how to fix this. It requires a "dbport"
variable to tell it what port the DB is running on. Also, the changes are
#ifdef'ed so ./configure can check to see if it's supported (no patch
provided for that).

Patch look good, except it doesn't modify configure.in to make similar
check as for the mysql_real_escape_string() function. Also beware of the
indentation. Can you send an updated patch ?

Uploaded new patch that also modifes the ./configure

QA wise: it compiles, it runs.. no further testings has been taken place.

prelude-manager branch 0.8 was patched accordingly to what Michael Boman
did.
it has to be tested carrefully under mysql 3 & 4 before to mark this bug
as resolved/closed

The patch you comited is not the patch attached here, and is invalid. I'm
reverting immediatly. Don't commit anything without final approval. Also
the ChangeLog entry is invalid.
