Then Thunderbird is not a "reasonable MUA", even though it's the 2nd or
3rd most widely used...

You must live on another planet, or in some parallel universe, because
this is not a valid way of referencing the location of an archived list
post.

FWIW, Googling for the string

Pine.BSM.4.64L.1310010843490.20824@herc.mirbsd.org

turns up zero results.  Hitting http://herc.mirbsd.org/ in a web browser
provides no link to search a list archive, nor even suggests it hosts a
mailing list.
