Hi, I am having the same problem as the original poster except I never had
it working in Solaris. Here's my ldd result:
[aegir][root]:[/opt/mark/pam_ldap-99]# ldd /usr/lib/security/pam_ldap.so
libpthread.so.1 => /usr/lib/libpthread.so.1
libldapssl41.so => /usr/local/ldapsdk/lib/libldapssl41.so
libplc3.so => /usr/local/ldapsdk/lib/libplc3.so
libplds3.so => /usr/local/ldapsdk/lib/libplds3.so
libnspr3.so => /usr/local/ldapsdk/lib/libnspr3.so
libcrypt_i.so.1 => /usr/lib/libcrypt_i.so.1
libresolv.so.2 => /usr/lib/libresolv.so.2
libpam.so.1 => /usr/lib/libpam.so.1
libdl.so.1 => /usr/lib/libdl.so.1
libc.so.1 => /usr/lib/libc.so.1
libthread.so.1 => /usr/lib/libthread.so.1
libposix4.so.1 => /usr/lib/libposix4.so.1
libsocket.so.1 => /usr/lib/libsocket.so.1
libnsl.so.1 => /usr/lib/libnsl.so.1
libgen.so.1 => /usr/lib/libgen.so.1
libaio.so.1 => /usr/lib/libaio.so.1
libmp.so.2 => /usr/lib/libmp.so.2
/usr/platform/SUNW,Ultra-5_10/lib/libc_psr.so.1
By following instruction from David Begley, I was able to configure and
compile it without problem. I removed the SUNWlldap package that came with
Solaris 8. The debug info with syslogd is following:

Anyone knows where can I find out tag number such as tag=97 means? It seems
like it found the uid I input,but didn't authenticate the user.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
