After a couple of suggestions I deleted my dhcp.nge0 file and changed my hostname.nge0 file to be the IP address but still no luck :-(

So when I log in now there is no error, but when reviewing ifconfig -a, dhcp is still not loading???

# ifconfig -a
lo0: flags=2001000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,VIRTUAL> mtu 8232 index 1
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
nge0: flags=201000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,CoS> mtu 1500 index 3
inet 192.168.1.64 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
ether 0:14:85:22:c9:25

Any other ideas?

My resolv.conf file contains my router gateway address:
domain config
nameserver 192.168.1.254
