sounds like the final way to save an archive.

del *.db except the msg.db.
reset the archive path to a new path and open it once. that creates the new
ngw*.db.
copy that ngw*.db to the msg.db and the blob's (*.001, etc.).
run a recreate userdatabase gwcheck and all items are put in the cabinet.
