I believe the t-mobile card uses standard ATA
commands according to the GPRS standards. This
means that it should act like a regular modem,
but requiring specific command strings. 

I don't have the  standards doc, but I believe
there are some linux development sources that may
lead to the necessary information (this may be
useful
