So, if you are compiling for a different architecture (ie arm) and you get
an error

./configure --target=arm-linux --with-cc=armv4b-unknown-linux-gcc
loading cache ./config.cache
using default enterprise.net-snmp
using default enterprise sysOID NET-SNMP-MIB::netSnmpAgentOIDs...
using default notifications NET-SNMP-MIB::netSnmpNotifications
checking if I need to feed myself to ksh... no
checking for gcc... armv4b-unknown-linux-gcc
checking whether the C compiler (armv4b-unknown-linux-gcc  ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot
create executables.

How would I get around this?

You can ignore this warning.

You can remove any of the tools you want if you don't need them.
