Summary: Perl Can't Find snmptrapd

Initial Comment:
On a Linux 7.1 system (recently upgraded from 5.2), I 
installed openssl in the openssl-0.9.6 directory, with:
./config --prefix=/home/lcsmith/andes8/ucd
make
make test
make install

and installed ucd-snmp-4.2.1 in the ucd-snmp-4.2.1 
directory, with:
./configure --prefix=/home/lcsmith/andes8/ucd
make
umask 022
make install

But when I try to start the perl install in the 
perl/SNMP directory, I get the following:

[lcsmith@andes8 SNMP]$ sudo perl Makefile.PL
Checking if your kit is complete...
Looks good
Writing Makefile for SNMP
Unable to locate "snmptrapd". Please enter the path:  
[/usr/local/sbin] /home/lcsmith/andes8/ucd
Error: /home/lcsmith/andes8/ucd/snmptrapd does not 
exist or is unreadable. 'make test' will not work.

I get this same error if I use the default path.
The "whereis snmptrapd" command doesn't find snmptrapd 
file anywhere on the system.

I did get warnings about a "clock skew" during ucd-
snmp-4.2.1 install, but I don't think I had any errors.

What part of the ucd install failed to create 
snmptrapd? And how can I fix it?

snmptrapd is not in any directory. So, what part of the 
make or install failed to create snmptrapd?
