Initial Comment:
V5-0-patches CVS branch as of today doesn't build when
ucd-snmp/diskio is included:

Oh, the module itself builds fine, as does the
module library.  It's just linking everything
together that fails.

If you can track down what's gone wrong, fine.
I had a quick look for differences between 5.0
and 5.0.1 last night, but couldn't spot anything
relevant.  I'm not inclined to waste much time
over this, since it's such an old release line.
But don't let me stop you.....

Depends on how hard it'd be to fix this. If
"ucd-snmp/diskio" doesn't build *at all* in 5.0.1+ (is this
the case?), then why not throw an error at configure time
(or disable it altogether)?

I don't think this is a new problem.
I did some testing over the weekend, and this
configuration failed with most of the 5.0.x
releases.  The original 5.0 agent linked OK,
but 5.0.1 and everything since threw up the
same error.
   I'm inclined to regard this as "fixed in 5.1"
