Adding to my own message, has anyone had any query problems using Access97
SR1 with myODBC?

Subject: Illegal SQL queries from Access97

I am converting the backend of some Access97 DBs to mySQL(2.23.43) via
myODBC(2.50.39). Most of the queries work fine. The ones I am having the
most problems with are those that reference form fields. The form field
name gets passed on to odbc/mySQL and of course the mySQL doesn't know
how to process it. Is my only solution to write a VBA script to convert
the form field data to some concrete value before generating the SQL
query? I'm not very familiar with Access97 so any tips aside from the
docs would be appreciated.

My system is Redhat7.1 using the mySQL RPM. Client is Win98 with updated
mdac.

Thanks,
Stephen
