Hi.
In /var/log/boot.omsg you should be able to check, whether your kernel
booted with the value of 128 or not.
Should be around line 85. If not you should do an "mkinitrd".
If the problem persists, try a "grub-install <root device>".
Did you try the latest Kernel build (304) and driver version (6.05)?
Regards
Stefan Schindewolf

I'm using a DL380-G3 with a qlogic 23xx HBA connected to a MA8000 HP-SAN
(HSG80 controller)

Betreff: Increase maximum number of LUNs with SLES8
Hello,
Has anybody experience with increasing the maximum number of LUN's. I found
several information to do this but nothing will work.
1. Modify /etc/modules.conf -> options scsi_mod max_scsi_luns=128
2. Modify /boot/grub/menu.lst -> append after kernel entry
max_scsi_luns=128
I have still the limitation of 8 scsi devices behind the HBA.
I'm using SLES8 with kernel 2.4.19-64GB-SMP.
Regards,
Gert van Zuylen
