Runs very nice in Denmark ... w2k, IE6.0, wmp9.0, 290kb./sec.

I have had a guy in the states say that he can't get the the video
playing however it works fine on most of the PCs I've tried it on. He is
getting the codec error message, but I can't see any reason why this
should occurt in america and not uk users. Have a go, if your in the
states and you get the error message ideas as to why will be
appreciated.

I have two pc desktops at work, one is a rights restricted BBC build,
the other I have admin rights  on. Both machines are running WMP
9.00.00.3075

On the BBC this one I get the codec error message

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the required video
codec is not installed on your computer."

My other desktop has the same version on and it works fine.

Colleagues with other BBC build machines and the same version of wmp
have no problems

Does this version of the player come with the the v9 codecs by default
or does it require a connection to the microsoft server to download the
codecs?
