Cy,

even Microsoft employees are sometimes 'off duty' :-)

The current Windows 98 DDK includes no smart card drivers examples.
We'll release a Windows 98 DDK this fall which will include examples.

The NT5 DDK will include smart card driver examples, including
a WDM implementation of a pcmcia driver, which works under NT5 and
Windows 98.

Nevertheless, you can use the current version of smclib to
start with your WDM driver development. As long as your driver
uses only WDM compatible functions you will have no problems.

Subject: WDM Driver Libraries...

I've sent two e-mails inquiring about the location of a wdm compatible
smclib.sys and possibly some
wdm examples.(No Response) I've noticed that the 98ddk contains
information on building wdm drivers, but I've not been able to locate a
smclib.sys or smclib.h in the ddk itself and havn't been able to find a
smartcard ddk for 98/NT50. Do they exist? I realize that our 95 driver
will work in 98 and it
does, but we're interested in getting ahead of the game and having a wdm
implementation of our driver before the release of NT50. Any help would
be appreciated.
