Hi!

DevExtra Version 4 (an addin for DevStudio) now includes wizards that
enhance + fix problems with DevStudio's standard ATL wizards.

These wizards are built using DevExtra's InstaCode code generation engine
which uses ActiveScript enabled, ASP style templates. This means you can
edit these wizards to suit your own coding styles, add/remove features
etc...

You can even create your own templates that can generate anything from
simple blocks of text through to entire projects, modify existing files and
more... It's completely integrated with DevStudio and really easy to use
(especially if you know ASP).

Anyway, check out what DevExtra's ATL wizards can do...

New ATL Object Wizard
=====================

* Replacements for Simple Object, Full Control, Lite Control, Property Page
and more coming soon...

* Support for noncreateable object.

* Interface options of Dual, Custom and None.

* Can generate implementations of over 120 standard COM interfaces. (eg:
IMarshal, IContextMenu, etc...)

* Can generate implementations of any interface defined in any IDL file in
the entire workspace.

* Works even if the project is not checked out. Files that need to be
modified will be automatically checked out.

* Works even if the project has multiple IDL files.

* Correctly sets up the type library version in IDispatchImpl and
IProvideClassInfo2Impl.

* IObjectSafety options to automatically mark the object as safe for
untrusted data and/or caller.

* ActiveX Controls automatically get "Properties" verb.

New ATL Project Wizard
======================

* All the features of the standard ATL Project Wizard including support for
DLLs, EXEs, services, MFC support, MTS support and Proxy/Stub merging.

* Doesn't generate MinSize build configurations.

* Unicode build configurations are optional.

* Option for _ATL_MIN_CRT

* Option for opt:/nowin98 linker switch.

* Output from MIDL compiler placed in a separate subdirectory.

DevExtra has lots of other features that I won't go into here for fear of
being flamed - I've only mentioned the bits specific to ATL. Check out

suggestions, criticisms etc...
