Hareesh

Thanks, but I am trying to import a private key, not export it. This key
is not generated within any CSP (e.g. OpenSSL), and besides, the example
code seems to work with Microsofts other software-only CSPs. So this
would seem to be a restriction imposed by the smart card CSP, which
prompts the question of where I can find a list of such restrictions.
Also, I can't see that this restriction is imposed by the smart card
itself - you would basically just need to create a properly-formatted
file on the smart card for use by the crypto functions (I assume in my
limited knowledge anyway), which is what the CSP is supposed to do. If
I had any info on the what/where/when of files created by the CSP, I would
settle on 'pre-creating' the necessary files on the smart card as
long as I would be able to use it from within the CSP.

I still haven't gotten around to trying the session key thing, so maybe
that will work ... will try maybe sometime real soon ...

Regards
Louis
