this is probably a bad idea, with me being such a Gtk advocate and all..
but i find Qt to be MUCH faster and MUCH better looking than Gtk. all in
all, it's a better engineered product. Gtk is excellent to code with,
works neat, and has some nice features, acceptable license.. but as a
toolkit, it's questionable.
