Hi all,

I'm Dave, one of the maemo.org "staff" - I am contracted part-time by
Nokia to co-ordinate community documentation efforts (and I do other
odd-jobs like co-ordinate elections & some event stuff too). I've been
working on Maemo for a couple of years now, and have been following the
community closely since its launch in 2005.

Re. "Community management", the biggest challenge I see right now is
giving people a clear picture of where their help is needed/wanted. The
equivalent of a library developer publishing API docs and code samples
showing how you can use the library, we need someone coming to MeeGo to
see how they can use & contribute to the MeeGo project.

I see that others have had long discussions about the target audiences &
how we can cater them so I'll stop there. Suffice to say I'm looking
forward to helping make MeeGo a successful community-focussed project.
