I'm sorry, no. Nothing in the changelog mentions it is fixed, and I just tried
again:

QWidget::setProperty( "text", value ) failed: property invalid, read-only or
does not exist
audio: unknown soundsystem ''
cdda: setup_soundsystem failed
audio: unknown soundsystem ''
etc.
Combined with the gui popup about no cd or no permissions on /dev/cdrom

This is with
kdemultimedia-kscd-3.5.4-5mdv2007.0

You have to test on a clean install or delete
~/.kde/share/config/kscdrc as mentioned before.

kscd cant play any audio cd. Because it search (it is configure by defaults 
like this) with : system:/media/hdc (or hdX off course)

but the good way is :
 media:/hdc 

(or hdX..)
