Well .rpmnew, rpmsave files are generally useful to preserve hand configured
information, but I agree the daemon shouldn't be using them. I patched apcid to
ignore then in 1.0.4-1mdk.

description:
I have customized /etc/acpi/events/power to suit my needs.
When I upgraded to mdk10.2b2, acpid came with /etc/acpi/events/power.rpmnew,
which calls /sbin/poweroff.
As a result, when the power button is pressed, *both* actions are executed : the
one from /etc/acpi/events/power an the one from /etc/acpi/events/power.rpmnew.
Deleting /etc/acpi/events/power.rpmnew solved the problem.
Could acpid be modified to avoid loading *.rpmnew files ? Or could the package
be modified to avoid producing /etc/acpi/events/*.rpmnew files ?
Thanks
