The bug still is not fixed in MDK 10.1 Official (kernel-2.6.8.1-12mdk).

description:
The current 2.6 kernel (2.6.8.1-10mdk) does not detect any IDE devices (hard
drive or CDROM drive) during the boot process on my Toshiba Satellite Pro 460CDT
notebook.

It is easily fixed by rebuilding the kernel with CONFIG_IDE_GENERIC=y (default
is CONFIG_IDE_GENERIC=m).
