So go edit the pipe open in approve. Sounds to me like you really need
to see which of mail, Mail, and mailx are links to the same program and
you'll probably find that you need to be using Mail or mailx instead. On
one SVR4 machine, we renamed the broken mail binary and replaced it with
a link to Mail.
