Hi,

I'm running 3.0pre9 on a recent dual-CPU (Pentium Coppermine)
server machine (Asus w/ Serverworks chipset). I'm using code
which was developed and runs fine on RTL2.3 on other SMP machines.
Unfortunately, RTL2.3 with Linux 2.2.14-5 doesn't work on the server,
it crashes during the early stage of startup. 3.0pre9 with Linux 2.2.17
seems to work fine. All the example programs run.

Unfortunately, I'm having problems with ONESHOT thread scheduling
on RTL3.0. Things seem to be different wrt 2.3 e.g.

1. I can no longer specify a period of 0 in pthread_make_periodic_np
2. Specifying a period of HRTIME_INFINITY makes the machine hang
3. Looking at the code for make_periodic_np a period of zero is no
longer allowed.

Is there anything new I need to know about oneshot scheduling with
RT3.0?

Thanks for any help.
