Just curious about what you are trying to accomplish, here... are you
trying to use the BootX application because the BootX extension doesn't
work for you? Normally, the BootX extension would be the recommended way to
accomplish what you are trying, because it loads at boot from the System
Folder, and automatically pops you into whatetever is your default choice
for operating system.

If, indeed, the extension isn't working for you, you might try to get a
newer version of it from benh's development page (BootX is up to 1.2.2):
http://ppclinux.apple.com/~benh . Or, you could try miBoot, which is also
included in the latest BootX archives. I wrote a fairly detailed miBoot
howto, which is located at:

(for now... I am working on putting it up in a more easily memorable
