I disagree with your analysis.

This document has been designed with to 2 groups in mind:

  * Those who appreciate nuance.

  * Those who do not appreciate nuance (or cannot),
    particularly those who appreciate a lack of nuance.

There is a concise SYNOPSIS.  There is also exactly one C-source
program in the EXAMPLES section.

That one C-source example is readily accessable by,  for example,
pressing  `shift-g'  to send the widespread `less' pager  down to
the bottom of the man page,  where convention usually places such
things.

As a particular reader,  you  desire  certain  content,  and this
revision delivers it;  it also delivers the content that  I  as a
reader desire.

I suppose  you know something that  I do not;  if only there were
more nuance  in your  remark,  I might be able  to interact  more
