I only had a brief look at the new text, but I'm afraid this is way too 
verbose to be practically useful. For example:

- We don't need 30 lines of explanation of the coordinate system. The 
current man page says "x = y = 0 at the top left corner of the screen", 
which is more than enough.

- We don't need 4 different examples; one would be enough.

>  man -Tpdf vcs >/tmp/vcs.pdf

(This is not a secure use of /tmp.)
