OS/Compiler notes: 

The excellent KWrite, which is my main tool for development, has a "Open Recent..." \
menu item. I think it would be more convenient if the recent documents were listed \
directly in the main File menu, rather than in the "Open Recent" submenu. MS Word \
does this, and I think some other KDE apps too. The KWrite File menu isn't too full \
at the moment, and this would lessen the number of mouseclicks/movements required to \
open a file.
