do it the other way around: keep an clean 'ISO C++' highlighting which SHALL NOT \
CONTAIN ANY NON-C++ STANDARD (or ucoming standard) EXTENSIONS and have per default a \
'full-featured' C++ highlighting that MAY contain more extensions like Qt, Boost, \
....
