I use Vim from three years development, but I love kdevelop too.

I try the new kate 4.2 in Vi mode and I like it, but some useful commands are
missing.

:sp[lit] to split windows
:vs[plit] to split windows verticaly.

:map, :unmap keys, with Macro.

<Ctrl W>+<<left>|<right>|<up>|<down>> to change edit spliited window.

:> :< to indent or desintent a line. Because <tab> only work in insert mode.

buffer use :
:ls
:b[#|<num_buffer>|<partial_file_name>] to select an opened buffer.
