Ah, ok! I can't imagine that stat'ing takes that much time, given that 
literally thousands of files are stat'ed at the startup of a typical KDE 
application.

I suggest that we keep delivering all highlighting files we currently deliver 
for compatibility's sake (because there's at least somebody already relying 
on them). New ones can (and IMHO should) be included as addons, downloaded on 
demand.
