           Summary: To add diff functionality
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: philippe fornux com

Version: 2.5.6 (using KDE 3.5.6-4.el4, CentOS release 4.4 (Final))
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.6 20060404 (Red Hat 3.4.6-3)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.9-42.0.10.ELsmp

You guys would be the first ones having this functionality.

It would be terrific if Kate was able to import and highlight part of a file being \
changed on the disk while being edited by Kate without saving its content.

Suppose you are editing a file on an NFS filesystem. If someone else modifies the \
file then the changes will popup automatically into your editor.

The primary goal here would be to accelerate shared development but this could be \
used to tail some logs at the same time. There would be no need to F5 and PGDW every \
seconds.

Bests,
-Phil
