Kate allows to choose the charset for files being opened by using the drop-down list \
in the Open File dialog. This works fine when the file is opened for the first time. \
However, when I open a file with a mistaken charset, then close the file and attempt \
to re-open it with the correct one, Kate seems to remember the previous choice and \
will open it again with the same charset. The only way is to rename the file and open \
under the new name. _______________________________________________
