Summary: End+Del+Enter doesn't mantain Indentation (it increases
it)
Product: kate
Version: unspecified
Platform: Slackware Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
ReportedBy: v01d v01d cjb net
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux
It is fairly common that editors allow mantaining the indentation of an indented line \
after a End+Del+Enter on the previous line. Kate does not. For example:
<TAB>Line 1.
<TAB>Line 2.
One would expect that placing the cursor at line 1 and doing End+Del+Enter would \
remain line 2's indentation (in fact, if it had two tabs, line 2 should mantain line \
1's indentation (altough it depends on the syntax: it should mantain it if line 1 \
ends in ; for c/c++). But with kate, after that sequence you get:
<TAB>Line 1.
<TAB><TAB>Line2.
This is pretty annoying as it doesn't allow reindenting a portion of code manually by \
doing this sequence. _______________________________________________
