Summary: shortcuts in external tools not remembered
           Product: kate
           Version: 2.3
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: hartmut.haeffner uibk ac at

Version: 2.3 (using KDE 3.3.0-2.0.2.kde, Fedora Core release 2 (Tettnang))
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-1.521

I assigned shortcuts (ctrl-shift-k and ctrl-shift-l) to newly created scripts added \
within "external tools" menu. It works. However, if I restart kate, the new assigned \
shortcuts are not present. A similar thing happens with the already predefined \
shortcut for execute script, i.e. after the restart the old shortcut is present. Some \
useful piece of information might be that the shortcuts are stored in \
"~/.kde/share/config/kateexternaltoolsrc" but appearantly are not loaded/or \
overwritten at a restart of kate. This behaviour is reproducable on my system.

I expect kate to remember the newly assigned shortcuts.

Another strange thing was that when I assigned a shortcut (win+p) to the action "open \
new project" it worked only after I restarted kate. Doing the same thing for the \
scripts mentioned above didn't work at all.

I'm using kate 2.3 under kde 3.3 installed from a fedora core 2 distribution.

Plugins installed: tab bars and file list loader
