           Summary: php syntax detection incorrect
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: js nexista com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

The php highliting is weird. If a file does not have a space between
<?php

and the next line, it will not be detected as php. It falls back to php/html which \
usually exits with an error about being unable to read syntax file. There is no way \
to turn the php/html syntax mode off except deleting the php/html syntax file all \
together (changing mime/file extension does nothing) This may be 2 bugs.

Note that by php syntax I am referring to pure php scripts (php.xml) and by php/html \
I am referring to the one that is used for html files with embedded php \
(html-php.xml) _______________________________________________
