Summary: Crash after turning to utf8 encoding
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kwrite
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: zander kde org

Version: 4.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Debian)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.1dell-optiplex

Opening a kwrite file (in ascii encoding) I could crash it after switching to utf8.

In my ascii file I had a ^2 (ascii 178) char and I positioned my caret directly after that char.
I then used the menu to switch from auto to utf8 encoding at which point kwrite crashed.

I attached a minimum test-case. I did not manage to make it smaller..
Position your caret at pos 188 (just after the 466m2).
