I can confirm this, just changed from a dual screen setup to a single screen
setup and amarok opened with full screen width+10pixels.
This is with nvidia twinview. To reproduce this is what happened:

1. dual screen setup then ./startkde
2. turned off pc to transport to another location with only 1 monitor
3. upon xserver startup with the nvidia driver correctly shows 1 screen
4. ./startkde 
5. ran amarok and it takes the whole width of the screen + some extra may be 10
pixels
6. seems this is the case with all kde the applications
