 From the bugreport :

 1) is caused by struts (_NET_WM_STRUT) , if the dockbar is on the right, it 
sets a strut on the right screen border, and this makes kicker (and e.g. 
external taskbar too) not to use the full width. This should be IMHO fixed in 
Kicker by realizing this strut comes from one of its extension and handling 
that case somehow.
