Regarding the tiny font problem in input area as reported by Ian Smith, it seems that \
the input area does not use the KDE default font. It apparently reads its font from \
kopete config section 'RichTextEditor' (kopete/chatview/krichtexteditpart.cpp).  It \
also writes the font back when it gets changed, but I cannot determine if \
setFont(QString) ever gets called in kopete for kde 3.4.1. It seems that the font got \
set to a small value some time in the past (or as a default value on installation) \
and it cannot be changed.

A temporary workaround for the problem would be to edit the \
.kde/share/config/kopeterc file and set the Font property in RichTextEditor section \
