It is easy to say. Sorry for interrupting, but I do believe that the Linuxtag 
is not that much important. I come from & live in a country which citizents 
do not earn much, unfortunately that does not mean the prices are low :). I 
am in a better situation that Duncan because I could take a train to get to 
Linuxtag,  but if it was in the US than it would be impossible for me to buy 
plane tickets, the  prices for modern solutions (like planes, internet, etc.) 
in Poland are very high (I am paying 40 euro for a 115,2 modem per month and 
normally I would pay 75, but I have friends in the company) and travelling 
anywhere and especially to another continent is very expensive.  Either ways 
there is no sense for me coming to LinuxTag for many reasons:
1.) no one wants me to
2.) I do not know anyone from the kde team
3.) I have no accommodations near the Linuxtag and do not have money for the 
hotel
4.) what the heck would I do there, although I would love to speak German with 
anyone (havent had the chance for ages).

Do not worry Duncan, I have been working and popularizing linux & kde in 
Poland for over 4 years now and never been to any kind of meeting.
