Thx Matthew for your detailed explanation, but IMHO you completely miss the
essence of this bug. I don't care what color Konsole renders intense or bright
(well, to some extent) the problem is that starting from KDE 4.? developers
added *bold* to the make-up of intense or bright rendered characters which is
not configurable and misrenders some bold-less fonts very ugly if not
illegible, due to an underlying Qt bug.

Even if the proposed patch is a work-around, it is -for me- a VERY welcome one!
