This appears to be a problem when text within a block element contains extra
white space in the HTML source.  This can be demonstrated with a single line
HTML file.

Example:
(HTML)(BODY)(P)hello[space][space][space]world(p)(/body)(/html)

(The greater than and less than signs have been replaced with parentheses so
that it will be readable even if buggzilla or your mail client clobbers HTML in
comments.  Replace [space] with actual spaces.)

Reproduced with KDE 4.4.4 on OpenSUSE 11.3.
