your testcase uses a |disabled| input form control.
Mouse and keyboard events aren't fired at all on disabled controls.

This is in the spirit of HTML 4.01's 17.12.1 ("this boolean attribute disables
the control for user input"), is compatible with Gecko engine behaviour, and is
explicitly mandatory in development versions of the html standard (see
http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/Overview.html#enabling-and-disabling-form-controls
)
